How We Garden

One fee covers...
The fee for regular visits covers everything your garden needs to thrive. Every visit, we will bring everything we need to keep your garden thriving. We will bring with us:
- Seedlings which are ready to go into the ground
- Mulch to lock in moisture, suppress weeds, increase soil organic and nutrient content
- Compost to increase soil carbon and nutrient content
- Fertilizer to feed your new plants
- Stakes and twine to point your vines in the right direction

No-Till Priciples
We follow the four No-Till principles to make gardening as productive and as efficient as possible. The four principles are:
- Keep the soil covered at all times
- Disturb the soil as little as possible
- Keep living roots in the soil as much as possible (i.e. always have something growing)
- Continuously add organic matter (i.e. compost and mulch)
We ensure that whenever a crop has finished, a new one is planted on our next visit. This helps maintain healthy soil biology while also increasing vegetable yields. Where possible, the roots and stems of the past crop are left in the ground to decompose. Pea straw and compost is then laid over the top for the next crop.

What can I grow in my garden?
We plant practically whatever you want to eat. We strive to provide a wide range of herbs and vegetables so there is always something available for picking.
Some plants might be hard to find but we do our best at your request. We will also provide higher-value seeds such as garlic. Again, this is all included in the regular fee.
